London Marathon 2017 Event was a Resounding Success!

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who came to or helped organise our event for the London Marathon 2017! It really was a fantastic success and so many people passed through our gates to enjoy the brilliant atmosphere and features we had on offer 🙂 People left well-fed, content and very entertained!

It really was an amazing event to be a part of – our bedrooms were 100% occupied, we were an official London Marathon 2017 Marshall briefing and refreshment venue, lots of people found out about the Royal Foundation of St Katharine and Precinct for the first time and we became the only venue with a specific feature in the Spectators Guide! The Royal Foundation of St Katharine has built a strong relationship with the organisers of The London Marathon and the London Marathon 2017 edition will only have served to strengthen that relationship.

We had fantastic entertainment on the day in the form of the London Rock Choir raising money for Nordoff Robbins and the Seafoxes folk-pop band who performed in the St Katharine’s Precinct. They really spurred on not just our own crowd but the runners also! We look forward to welcoming them both back to St Katharine’s where they are sure to be performing once again.

Finally, here are some select photos from the day – if you missed it, there is always next year to enjoy the RFSK atmosphere on London Marathon day 🙂
