Yurt Salon- Poetry
Tuesday 16th May, 6:30-9:30pm
We’ll be welcoming five diverse poets and spoken word performers to read from their latest work. The lineup covers a variety of poetic types from comedy, lyric, literary and spoken word. Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets can be booked here. Yurt Salon is curated in partnership with local publisher Limehouse Books
Community Gardening Group
Tuesday 16th May 6:30-9:30pm
Join Stephen for our weekly gardening project and help him plant seasonal vegetables for the veg planters, weed (there is always weeding to be done), water the planters and sew seeds. Drop in anytime.
The Front Room
Friday 19th May, 2-4pm
Join us for an afternoon of play and conversation hosted by local parents. Toys and a changing room are available. Pram space is limited so please bring babies in slings if you can.
Festival Of Communities
Saturday 20th May, 12-2pm
We are taking part in Queen Mary University of London’s Festival Of Communities. The Festival will be at at Stepney Green Park on Saturday 20th and Queen Mary University of London Mile End Campus on Sunday 21st May. If you are free on Saturday come and see us at Stepney Green Park between 12-2pm and take part in a drop in craft activity.
Saturday 27th May, 10-11am
This month we will be showing stories about a well know rabbit called Peter. Pram space is limited, please bring babies in slings if possible. There will be a creative activity after the showing. For more information please email email@example.com
The Craft Club
Saturday 27th May, 1-4pm
Spend an afternoon crafting and making with us in the Community Hub. You are welcome to bring your own craft project or make something on the day. We have a selection of art and craft supplies for you to use including collage materials, wool, paints and more.
Whittling To Pass The Time
Saturday 27th May, 1-3pm
Artist and Gardener extraordinaire Stephen will be leading a whittling workshop in the picturesque Precinct garden. In this 2 hour workshop Stephen will show you traditional whittling skills, safe knife management and the proper use of whittling tools. At the end of the workshop you will take home a beautifully crafted spoon. Spaces are limited, please book here

Photography Walking Group
Sunday 28th May, 11-12:30pm
Local Photographer Kashif will be leading a photography walk starting from St Katharine’s Precinct. During the walk Kashif will give you tips and tricks on your photos and advice. Kashif says ‘I photograph professionally now, but it started off as a hobby for me and I also learned through practice and watching other photographers.
