This Week

Best in Bloom by Poetry in Wood
Monday 10th July- Friday 17th September
Poetry in Wood social enterprise begin their exhibition titled Best in Bloom. The enterprise is made up of 14 Adults with learning disabilities who make unique decorated wood products. The Precinct will be displaying the teams work until September which will include chickens, daffodils, bees, tea cups, butterflies, flamingos, tulips, biscuits and much more. Work will be available to buy from the Yurt Cafe.

Comedy-Abandoman Edinburgh Fringe Preview with special guests and MC Sion James
Wednesday 12th July, 6:30-10pm
Sadly, Abandoman could not make last weeks comedy night but- comedy comes back to the Yurt Cafe  with a special Edinburgh Fringe preview with Abandoman himself, special guests and MC Sion James.
Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start. Book your tickets here

Board Game Night
Wednesday 12th July, 6:30-8:30pm
Join us for board game night this month in the Yurt Cafe. We have a collection of board games to choose from or you can bring your own. Come with friends or on your own. Children are welcome to attend but must bring an adult with them. Refreshments are available from the Cafe including light bites made by Andy of Bread & Butler.

Photography Walking Group
Saturday 16th July, 11-12:30pm
If you love taking pictures but wish you knew more about framing, composition, colouring and more, Kashif is on hand to help. Kashif will be leading a walk  starting at St Katharine’s Precinct, routes usually include Limehouse Basin, surrounding wharfs and Wapping. Please let us know you are coming by signing up here

Coming Up 

Ukulele (also known as Yurt Folk)
Wednesday 19th July, 5:45-6:30pm
The Community Singing Group welcome you to join them for Ukulele. A small group from the singing group have been meeting before singing to learn how to play the Ukulele. They would like to open the group and invite you to join them in the Chapel at St Katharine’s House. Supper Club
Wednesday 19th July, 6:45-10pm
A monthly supper club at St Katharine’s House. A chance to unwind and step back from the busyness of modern life, and share a wholesome & locally sourced meal. If you wish, you can join us for a short meditation at the start of the evening. Meditation 6.45pm (optional), Drinks 7.00pm, Supper 7.40pm. Please book your tickets here

Trash and Treasure Jewellery Making with Anna- Trade School
Saturday 22nd July, 11-1pm
Learn the basics of beaded and wire jewellery making and create an upcycled or brand new treasure. What to bring:  Any jewellery bits and beads that you want to upcycle yourself, or share with the group.
